Hydro Quebec recently celebrated the completion of the New England Energy Connect, touted as a major step toward reducing the carbon intensity and increasing the reliability of the New England grid. According to the groundhogs, an early spring is predicted for mid-west and southwest US, along with Atlantic Canada, while the west coast and east coast can both expect a bit more winter!

Compare these with seasonal temperature forecasts from Environment Canada and National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration for the same time period! In all images, red = hot (early spring)!
